According to global audio and music streaming platform Spotify on Aug. 18, "Don't Say You Love Me," the title track of Jin's second mini album "Echo," had exceeded 1 billion cumulative streams as of that day. It is the most-streamed solo song of Jin's career to date.
Released on May 16 last year, "Don't Say You Love Me" is a pop song that portrays the complicated emotions of lovers who struggle to let each other go even as their relationship nears its end. Rather than relying on a dramatic arrangement, the track centers on restrained production and Jin's calm, understated vocals.

The song also posted notable chart results following its release. "Don't Say You Love Me" debuted at No. 90 on Billboard's main singles chart, the "Hot 100." It marked Jin's third solo entry on the chart, following "The Astronaut" in 2022 and "Running Wild" in 2024.
Its performance was even stronger on global charts. The track debuted at No. 7 on Billboard's "Global 200" before climbing to a peak of No. 6. The chart reflects streaming and sales data from more than 200 territories, showing that the song drew listeners not only in North America but across multiple regions.
The album also delivered Jin's best solo performance on the main Billboard albums chart. "Echo" debuted at No. 3 on the "Billboard 200" dated May 31, 2025, his highest ranking as a solo artist.
The 1 billion-stream milestone is notable because it shows that the song's initial popularity translated into sustained listening over time. Rather than fading after its release period, the track continued to accumulate streams for more than a year and has established itself as one of Jin's signature solo songs.
Following promotions for "Echo," Jin met fans through his first solo tour, "#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR," beginning in Goyang and continuing through Chiba and Osaka in Japan; Anaheim, Dallas, Tampa and Newark in the United States; London in the United Kingdom; and Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
With steady results across global charts and streaming platforms, Jin continues to strengthen his presence as a solo artist beyond his activities with BTS.
